PSYCO 452 - Minds and Machines


★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 3-0-0) Computational models are playing an increasingly important role in cognitive psychology. The purpose of this course is to provide students with the theoretical background for using such models, as well as some hands-on experience. Students will learn about the history of these models in cognitive psychology, how one might characterize good and bad models, and how cognitive psychologists attempt to experimentally validate their models.
