R SOC 530 - Social Impact Assessment
★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 3-0-0) Examination of the theory and application of social impact assessment methods with a focus on the evaluation of environmental and natural resource regulatory policy and planning. Includes a series of case studies of recent environmental policy proposals to illustrate the methods used to evaluate the social and cultural impacts of such proposals. Prerequisite: consent of Instructor. Credit will only be given for one of AREC 450, 550, R SOC 430 and 530.
