Honors in Music

The BA degree with Honors in Music is available to undergraduates interested in theoretical, historical and cultural issues in art, traditional or popular music.

Program Requirements

Honors in Music requires ★66 in Music (at the junior and senior levels) as follows:

Note:

The following course has been approved as a Music option: CATS 381 .

Honors in Music requires ★12 in one approved Language other than English. Normally, no more than ★66 in Music may be taken. Students are also required to complete ★12 in non-Music Arts options.

Except for the language-other-than-English requirement, this program does not have a minor requirement.

Graduation with First Class Honors requires a minimum GPA of 3.7 on all Music courses in the last two years and a GPA of 3.5 or better on all courses in the two final years or last ★60.
