The Degree of PhD (Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging) [Graduate]


Program Requirements


Appropriate coursework will be decided upon in conjunction with the Chair of the Department, the Graduate Coordinator or the Medical Sciences Graduate Program Committee. Under normal circumstances candidates for the degree would be expected to complete ★12 at the graduate-level and to prepare and defend a thesis on an approved topic. Additional courses may be required depending on the student’s background.

The minimum period of residence is four four-month terms of full-time attendance at the University of Alberta.

Note:


This program does not lead to speciality (fellowship) qualifications in Diagnostic Radiology, Radiation Oncology or Nuclear Medicine.

Length of Program


The length of the program is three to four years.
