PSYCO 356 - Research Methods in Cognition

★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 3-0-3) A detailed examination of some of the common methods used for investigating cognitive processes. Topics include response time methods, priming paradigms, tachistoscopic presentation techniques, reading time measurement, and the use of recognition and recall tests. The focus of the course will be on the application of these methods to current theories and issues in cognitive psychology. Laboratories will provide students with first-hand experience at applying these methods to research problems. Prerequisite: PSYCO 258. [Faculty of Science]
