KSR 506 - Socio-cultural Perspectives on the Body and Health

★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 0-3s-0) Examines contemporary socio-cultural discussions and debates regarding the body as a social phenomenon, with a particular focus on understanding intersections of the body, physical activity, exercise and health. In doing so, questions regarding social construction, representation and regulation of bodies as well as experiences of embodiment will be examined. Credit will be granted for only one of KRLS 506 or PERLS 506. Note: Credit will be granted for only one of KSR 506, KRLS 506 or PERLS 506.
