KSR 545 - Physical Activity and Cancer

★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 0-3s-0) An overview of the role of physical activity in cancer control. Specifically, physical activity is examined for its role in cancer prevention, coping with treatments, rehabilitation after treatments, palliative care, long term survival, secondary prevention and survival. A multidisciplinary perspective draws on kinesiology, oncology, nursing, epidemiology, psychology, rehabilitation medicine and health promotion. Note: Credit will be granted for only one of KSR 545, KIN 545 or PEDS 545.
