MATH 448 - Introduction to Differential Geometry
★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 3-0-0) Riemannian geometry of n-space, metric tensors, various curvature concepts and their relationships, covariant differentiation, geodesics, parallel transport. Additional topics at the discretion of the instructor. Prerequisite: MATH 348, or MATH 217 and one of MATH 225 or 227. Note: Offered in alternate years. It may be offered in intervening years if demand is sufficient.
