LING 224 - Endangered Languages

★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 3-0-0) An examination of languages facing extinction: how language endangerment arises, local and global factors affecting loss, how linguistic and cultural diversity suffers, and how linguists can respond. Students cannot receive credit for both LING 224 and 324.
