FIN 434 - Advanced Topics in Finance

★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 3-0-0) This course covers selected advanced topics in finance. Current topics on the frontiers of financial research and on the frontiers between finance and economics, history, political science, and psychology are explored. Topics may include finance and development, the political economy of finance, finance and institutional economics, inefficient markets, behavioral finance, macro-finance, fintech, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and comparative financial systems, but may vary from year to year in response to recent developments. Prerequisite: FIN 301 and MGTSC 312.
