General Information
The subject area requirements listed on this page are part of the Bachelor of Science (Major and Honors) program offered by the Faculty of Science. Students must ensure they are familiar with and follow all program requirements in addition to the subject area requirements outlined below. Paleontology subject area GPA will be calculated including all courses at the 200-level or above with course designators BIOL, BOT, EAS, ENT, PALEO, and ZOOL. Honors in Paleontology Requirements

- Some courses appear on more than one list. Students may not use the same course to satisfy more than one list requirement.
- To fulfill the knowledge requirements for registration as a professional geoscientist (P. Geo.) through APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta), meet with an EAS program advisor to discuss appropriate course selections. Current syllabus and registration information is available from the Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences or APEGA. Full information is available at www.apega.ca.
- Some courses are offered in alternate years only, so plan your schedule appropriately.
