General Information
The subject area requirements listed on this page are part of the Bachelor of Science (Major and Honors) program offered by the Faculty of Science. Students must ensure they are familiar with and follow all program requirements in addition to the subject area requirements outlined below.

Subject Area Courses
Pharmacology subject area courses include all courses at the 200-level or higher that satisfy specific requirements or options in the respective Honors or Major requirements, as listed below, and all courses at the 200-level or above with course designator PMCOL.
There are minimum subject area GPA requirements for graduation (see Academic Standing and Graduation ).
Honors in Pharmacology Requirements
Thesis Stream: (See Note 2)
Notes:
- Students will not be permitted to take 400-level PMCOL courses unless all prerequisites have been met.
- At least one of PMCOL 301 , PMCOL 302 , or comparable research experience, is a prerequisite for the Thesis Stream.
- Some courses appear in more than one list of courses. Students may not use the same course to satisfy more than one requirement.
- Students who take PMCOL 497 and PMCOL 499 may not take PMCOL 401 or PMCOL 402 .
Major in Pharmacology Requirements
Notes:
- Students in the Major in Pharmacology degree program may only complete one of PMCOL 401 or PMCOL 402 .
- Students will not be permitted to take 400-level PMCOL courses unless all prerequisites have been met.
Minor in Pharmacology Requirements
6 units from:
- any 300- and 400-level PMCOL course
Notes:
- PMCOL 337 is not available to students completing a Minor in Pharmacology.
- Students will not be permitted to take 400-level PMCOL courses unless all prerequisites have been met.
