Master of Science with specialization in Cancer Sciences (Oncology)

Admission to the MSc is dependent on the recommendation of the Graduate Coordinating Committee.

Program Core Competencies

The following are the program-specific requirements to satisfy the FoMD’s Program Core Competencies (See Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry Program Core Competencies ):

1. Professional Development and Ethics

2. Communication

Cancer Sciences students must take the following courses. They are expected to attend these seminars in all years of their program, even when not formally registered.

3. Critical Reading/Thinking

Supervisors/Supervisory Committees may require students to take additional coursework to increase competency in Critical Thinking/Reading.

4. Background Knowledge

Cancer Sciences students must take ONE of the following:

Thesis

Registration in 900-level THES. Students are required to prepare and defend a thesis on a topic approved by their supervisor and supervisory committee.
