The Certificate in Computer Game Development is a joint certificate offered by the Faculties of Arts and Science and is open to any undergraduate student at the University of Alberta. The certificate complements discipline-specific studies with courses that provide opportunities to work in multidisciplinary teams, build complete small and medium-scale games, and interact with industry.
Students wishing to pursue the Certificate in Computer Game Development must declare their intention through either Undergraduate Student Services in the Faculty of Arts or through Undergraduate Students Services in the Faculty of Science.

Who can take it: The Certificate in Computer Game Development is a joint certificate open to any undergraduate student enrolled in a bachelor degree program at the University of Alberta.

Notes
- Students may only take one of MST 350 or MST 351 for credit.
- WRITE 399 may only be applied when topic is appropriate and approved by the program.
- MUSIC 445 may only be applied when topic is appropriate and approved by the program.
Application to graduate with this certificate
An Embedded Certificate can only be awarded at the time of Graduation. When Faculty of Arts students apply to graduate in Bear Tracks they must also declare certificate completion (see Academic Schedule ).
Students from other faculties must apply for this certificate through Undergraduate Students Services in the Faculty of Arts by the application deadline for convocation.
