Specialization in Physics [Science]

Continuation in the Specialization in Physics program requires a minimum 2.3 GPA in the previous Fall/Winter. In addition, graduation requires a minimum 2.3 GPA on the last 90 units credited to the degree.

Year 4
- 6 units in PS Senior Science options (see Note 2)
- 15 units in PS Pool A options (see Note 3)
- 6 units in PS Pool B options (see Note 4)
- 3 units in Arts option (see Note 1)
Notes
- By the end of their programs, students must have taken 18 units of Arts options.
- PS Senior Science options: Any 200- or higher level course offered by the Faculty of Science (see details of courses).
- PS Pool A: PHYS 301 , PHYS 362 , PHYS 364 , all 300- and 400-level ASTRO, GEOPH, MA PH, and MATH courses; all 400-level PHYS courses. Other courses may be taken with prior consent of Department.
- PS Pool B: all 400-level ASTRO, GEOPH, MA PH, and PHYS. Other courses may be taken with prior consent of Department.
- Credit in SCI 100 is considered equivalent to MATH 114 , MATH 115 , PHYS 144 , PHYS 146 and 6 units in Science options (see details of courses ).
- Credit in SCI 151 will be considered equivalent to 6 units in Science options.
- Students should take one of MA PH 251 or MATH 334 and one of MA PH 351 or MATH 315 or MATH 317
