Honors in Statistics [Science]

Continuation in the Honors Statistics program requires successful completion of at least 24 units with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum 3.0 GPA on all MATH and STAT courses completed in the previous Fall/Winter. In addition, graduation requires a minimum 3.0 GPA on all courses credited towards the degree and a minimum 3.0 GPA on all MATH and STAT courses credited towards the degree.
The program must contain the following courses, which should be taken in the years indicated:

- 6 units in approved options

- 6 units in approved Arts options
- 3 units in approved Science options (see details of courses )
- 3 units in an approved option (see Note 4)
Options
- 12 units in STAT options at the 400-level
- 3 units in an approved MATH or MA PH option (see note 5)
- 6 units in approved Arts options
- 15 units in approved Science options (see details of courses )
Notes
- Each student’s program must have the approval of the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences.
- The Honors courses MATH 117, MATH 118, MATH 127 and MATH 227 are recommend ed.
- Credit will not be granted for ECON 299 , ECON 386 or ECON 387 .
- Students not presenting MATH 118 must take MATH 216 .
- Students not presenting MATH 227 must take MATH 325 .
- Credit in SCI 100 will be considered equivalent to CMPUT 174 , MATH 114 , MATH 115 and 18 units in approved Science options (see details of courses ).
- Credit in SCI 151 will be considered equivalent to STAT 151 and 3 units in Science option.
