REN R 307 - Environmental Assessment Principles and Methods

★ 3 (fi 6) (second term, 3-0-0) Principles and elements of environmental assessment with an interdisciplinary focus. Topics include types of environmental assessments and when to use them, the Alberta and Canadian environmental assessment processes, the relevant legal framework, sampling and pathways of effects for different biophysical components, mitigation of environmental impacts and assessment of risk. Credit will only be given for one of REN R 307 or ENCS 307. Prerequisites: PL SC 221, REN R 205, 210, 299, and 350. Consent of instructor required for students outside the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences.
