INT D 393 - Political Sociology

★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 3-0-0) A study of how society affects politics and politics affects society. Discussion of the political consequences of economic developments, ideological debates, class conflicts, social movements, elites, gender, nationalisms and state structures. Focus on Canada from a comparative perspective. Prerequisite: POL S 101 or one of SOC 100, 202 or 300. (Offered jointly by the Departments of Political Science and Sociology.) [Political Science]
