Graduate Certificate in AI and Health

The Graduate Certificate in AI and Health is an interdisciplinary online program primarily designed for working health professionals, health researchers, computer scientists, engineers, policymakers and health administrators that offers exposure to AI within the scope of the healthcare system. Using case studies and interdisciplinary perspectives, students will gain competencies in ethical considerations, policy implications and the integration of AI in clinical and public health contexts, preparing them to navigate and influence the evolving health and AI landscape.

Certificate Requirements
The certificate program is composed of four interdisciplinary courses offered by the University of Alberta for a total of 12 units of course weight. The certificate will be completed by taking one course at a time, ensuring a manageable workload. Each course will be delivered in an accelerated 7-8 week format, rather than a traditional 13-week semester. The entire certificate can be completed in one year, assuming courses are taken consecutively. The courses are: |
