General Information


The College of Health Sciences offers an interdisciplinary graduate certificate in AI and Health, designed primarily for working health professionals, health researchers, computer scientists and engineers, policymakers and health administrators seeking to develop foundational knowledge in the strategic application, responsible use, ethical governance, critical evaluation and real-world integration of AI in the health system.

Entrance Requirements


Admission requirements for the graduate certificate in AI and Health are non-restrictive to encourage interdisciplinary cohorts. Applicants are required to have the minimum Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) entry requirements , including:

  • A four-year baccalaureate degree (or its academic equivalent) from an academic institution recognized by the University of Alberta
  • There is no admission GPA requirement
  • English Language Proficiency
