Courses for Subject Area GPA


Cell Biology subject area GPA will be calculated including all courses at the 200-level or above with course designators ANAT, BIOCH, CELL, GENET, IMIN, MICRB, MMI, NEURO, ONCOL, PHYSL and PMCOL.

Note: Students registered in the Bachelor of Science (Major and Honors) program also need to satisfy Common Course Requirements , Major/Honors Requirements , and Science and Senior Course Level Requirements .

Honors in Cell Biology Requirements

  • any 300- and 400-level BIOCH course (See Note 1)

  • any 400-level CELL course (excluding CELL 498 )

Minor in Cell Biology


Effective July 2026, there will be no further admission to the Minor in Cell Biology. Students who entered this minor prior to July 2026 must complete all program requirements by April 30, 2031. The last degree with this specific minor will be granted at Spring Convocation 2031. Continuing students must refer to the Calendar under which they were admitted for program requirements.
