Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (Education)

The Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies offered by the Faculty of Education is designed around a cohort model and is for professionals seeking specialization in various disciplinary focus areas called streams. Each stream has distinctive courses.
The streams include:
- Contemporary Literacy Education K-9
- Early Childhood Education
- Elementary Music Teaching and Learning
- Indigenous Education
- Indigenous Language Sustainability
- Mathematics Education
- Mentoring and Leadership
- Prison Education
- School Librarianship
- Science Education
- Structured Literacy and Reading Science
- Teaching English Language Learners
- Teaching Students with Complex Communication Needs
- Teaching Students with Significant Disabilities
- Technology Education
- Trauma-Sensitive Practice

Program Requirements
Students are required to complete four 3-unit courses for a total of 12 units in a specific stream. Length of Program
All components of the certificate must be completed within 4 years of enrollment from first registration for the certificate. |
