2. Communication
Students are required to attend and participate in the Physiology Seminar series (organized for Physiology Graduate Student Association, PGSA) as well as the seminar series specific to their research areas, journal clubs, or others as recommended by their supervisor or the advisory committee. Students are required to attend and participate in Physiology Research Day every year.
3. Critical Reading/Thinking
Students have the option to further develop competency in critical reading/thinking through courses such as PHYSL 506 , where the topics covered in the course can be tailored to the student’s interests and goals.
4. Background Knowledge
Students are required to complete one 3 unit didactic course (500 or 600 level). Selection of the appropriate course is done by the Supervisor in consultation with the student, based on the student’s area of research and/or areas needed to strengthen background knowledge.
