Master of Public Health in General Public Health (course-based)

The requirements on this page apply to students starting their program in Fall 2023 or later.

Program Requirements

All students must complete 30 units of Required courses, and 15 units of Elective courses for a total of 45 units. Students can take up to two Graduate Embedded Certificates to fulfill the Elective course requirements.

Students can opt to take free-standing electives approved by their Academic Advisor or bundles of electives towards fulfilling the requirements of up to two Graduate Embedded Certificates. Information about Graduate Embedded Certificates can be found here.

Length of Program

The maximum time permitted for completion of the program is six years (part-time or full-time) from the date of first registration. Full-time students can complete the degree within two years.
