Master of Science (Pharmacology)

Program Requirements
Students are required to complete a minimum of 3 units in coursework and a thesis.
Coursework:
- At least one 3-unit graduate-level Pharmacology course
- The program for each student will be determined by their supervisory committee and will be subject to approval by GSEC if required
- Additional coursework may be required
Thesis
- Registration in 900-level THES. Students must prepare and defend a thesis on an approved research topic.
Residence Requirement
The minimum period of residence is two four-month terms of full-time attendance at the University of Alberta
Length of Program
The time required to complete the MSc will vary with the individual candidate; however, a minimum of 24 months is normally required.
The maximum time to complete the thesis-based MSc program as set by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research is four years.
