Description
Students begin studying all phases of clinical dentistry including diagnosis and treatment planning, anaesthesia, periodontics, endodontics, operative dentistry, prosthodontics and orthodontics. Students receive an introduction to ethics in dentistry. Students perform tasks mainly in a pre-clinical (laboratory) environment and have a brief introduction to the clinic with limited diagnosis and treatment of patients. Offered at an increased rate of fee assessment; refer to the Tuition and Fees page in the University Regulations section of the Calendar. Restricted to candidates registered as Special Students in the DDS Advanced Placement Program.
