CHEM 434 - X-ray Crystallography

★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 3-0-0) An introduction to structure determination by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods. Topics include X-ray diffraction, crystal symmetry, experimental methods, structure solution, refinement, crystallographic software, and interpretation of crystal structure data. Prerequisite: CHEM 243 and one 300-level CHEM course; or CHEM 333; or consent of the instructor.
