CHEM 298 - Introductory Spectroscopy

★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 3-0-3) The course is an integrated introduction to the qualitative and instrumentation aspects of spectroscopy and its applications in chemistry. The subjects will include: absorption, emission, vibrational and rotational spectroscopy of atoms and molecules; and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. For Chemistry Honors and Specialization students only, except by consent of Department. Prerequisite: CHEM 102 or 105; CHEM 163 or 263.
