INT D 345 - Rural Environments

★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 0-3s-0) The characteristics of rural environments that relate to current planning challenges and land use pressures will be examined. Topics such as: changing agricultural practices, rural health issues, planning for rural sustainability and the role of legislation at provincial, regional and intermunicipal levels will be discussed. Many case examples will be used throughout the course. Sections may be offered in a Cost Recovery format at an increased rate of fee assessment; refer to the Fees Payment Guide in the University Regulations and Information for Students. Open to students in the Undergraduate Program in Planning or consent of the Instructor.
