DDS 829 - Introduction to DDS Advanced Placement


★ 12 (fi 38) (Spring/Summer, 3-0-0) Students begin studying all phases of clinical dentistry including diagnosis and treatment planning, anaesthesia, periodontics, endodontics, operative dentistry, prosthodontics and orthodontics. Students receive an introduction to ethics in dentistry. Students perform tasks mainly in a pre-clinical (laboratory) environment and have a brief introduction to the clinic with limited diagnosis and treatment of patients. Offered in a Cost Recovery format at an increased rate of fee assessment; refer to the Fees Payment Guide in the University Regulations and Information for Students section of the Calendar. Restricted to candidates registered as Special Students in the DDS Advanced Placement Program.
